Pride in Performance

Northern Youth Symphonic Wind is a Concert Band of around 60 to 70 talented student performers from Sydney's northern suburbs. We practice and showcase our musical performance of woodwind, brass and percussion musicians from years 7 to 12 at regular rehearsals and concert events. Most of all, we share in fun and friendship as like-minded young musicians helping each other develop our passion and talent.

Award-winning performances since 2009

Since our very first year, our group has placed in every competition we have entered. From our entry year 2009 award as 2nd in Junior B Grade progressing to strongly competing in Junior A Grade for both the National Band Championships and NSW State Band Championships through to our pre-recorded competition entries during Covid, we are proud to have developed such talent with great outcomes. How NYSW stands out

Our members are an exceptional assortment of talented musicians who enjoy performing. Not just competitively but to achieve their personal goals for excellent performance while having a great time growing as musicians. Their commitment shows, with most members staying on throughout their secondary school years. If this sounds like you, consider an audition.
